I have been climbing & hiking in the White Mountains, New Hampshire for the last 19 years. Most of my hiking accomplishments have come while photographing the mountain environment. Although I never considered myself to be a peak-bagger, as popularized by the 48 Four-Thousand AMC list, I completed the list at least 6 times (including once in winter) before stopping the count. And with over 100 ascents to Mount Washington during all seasons, in all weather conditions (through every ravine), I still find each hike to be a exciting adventure. Bushwhacking to trailless summits and exploring new areas keeps adding to an already satisfying experience. Preferring winter climbing, you will usually find me on the wind beaten, open ridges of the Presidential Range. The remaining seasons I can be found photographing adventure, conservation, environmental and travel subjects throughout the White Mountains of New Hampshire and the New England area. If lists did matter I would only be working on two: The Grid and the 48 at night Click here to go back to about page |
