Dixville Notch State Park – Dixville, New Hampshire
October 6, 2014 White Mountains Foliage Season: The landscape of the Great North Woods and White Mountains of New Hampshire has been in grand form the last few weeks. The autumn foliage is unbelievable this year! And the weather has been perfect for photography and leaf peeping.
The foliage appeared to be ahead of schedule this year, and I think it was, but when compared to past years it now seems to be right on schedule. Almost a year ago to the day I made similar observations as the ones in this blog post. Take a look here.

October 9, 2013 White Mountains Foliage Season: The last few weeks I have been very busy traveling the White Mountains region of New Hampshire photographing autumn foliage. Autumn is my favorite season, so I try to spend as much time as possible outdoors.
The foliage looks incredible this year, but is very patchy. Windy and rainy days have been a factor this year. My rain gear has been getting a workout! Overall it has been a successful White Mountains foliage season.

Strong winds and heavy rain are changing the landscape quickly (White Mountains, NH). The above image was from a few days ago along the Hancock Branch. The bottom image is from the same location as the above earlier today (Oct 1). Looks different today!

Foliage Report: Sept 29-30, 2010
The colors are looking pretty good in the White Mountains of New hampshire (Kancamagus Highway – North) and in parts of Maine, BUT they are fading fast and this weekend may be your last chance to see any great color in the White Mountains.

The White Mountains and Northern New Hampshire are engulfed by the colors of autumn! You will find some great shots in the area of the Kancamagus Pass along the Kancamagus Highway. Grafton Notch State Park in Maine also looks very good (if you want to cross the border).
