Shoal Pond, Pemigewasset Wilderness – Shoal Pond is a secluded 5-acre pond in the Pemigewasset Wilderness in the New Hampshire White Mountains. It can be reached by hiking the Shoal Pond Trail (off the Appalachian Trail). This pond is one of the unique features of the Pemigewasset Wilderness that makes designated wilderness areas special.
The reflection of the forest and Mount Carrigain in Shoal Pond early in the morning is excellent! And the area surrounding the pond is a great place to see wildlife. Wildlife photographers visiting the pond should bring your big lenses, because there is a good chance of seeing moose.
