New Hampshire 200 Highest

Organizations involved with the White Mountains don’t really recognize the New Hampshire 200 highest and New Hampshire 300 highest peakbagging hiking lists. And there is no official New Hampshire 500 highest list. Hikers will not receive a scroll or certificate for completing these hiking lists. However, since the last time we looked at these hiking lists in the early-2000s it seems an unorganized website (group of hikers) is now offering a patch to any hiker that completes them.

There use to be tradition surrounding the New Hampshire 200 highest and New Hampshire 300 highest hiking lists. Basically, a hiker could only obtain these hiking lists from another hiker who was in possession of the lists. But in this social media era of hiking, this tradition has become dead, and there are now variations of these hiking lists floating around the internet. Unfortunately, because these hiking lists are not governed by an established organization, no two lists appear to be the same.

From a historical point of view, it is sad to see the traditions surrounding some of the New Hampshire hiking lists not being honored. And for this reason, we are not going to include any of these hiking lists here. Hikers interested in hiking the New Hampshire 200 highest, New Hampshire 300 highest, and the New Hampshire 500 highest should do an internet search for them. And then do what other hikers are doing: create your own variation of these hiking lists, and then have a good time hiking them.

With the increase of hikers creating variations of the numerous hiking lists, be forewarned some of the lists floating around may require a hiker to trespass.
